Local Demonstration Project (LDP) Program
The North Jersey Sustainable Communities Consortium (NJSCC) will soon be issuing a call for applications to participate in its sustainable development Local Demonstration Project (LDP) Program. The LDP Program will provide technical assistance for strategic planning studies focused on designated areas or corridors associated with established or anticipated transit services and/or facilities. Eligible applicants will include municipalities, counties, non-governmental organizations, community development corporations, and other interested organizations. Please join us at one of the three free LDP Program Information Sessions to hear more about this exciting opportunity. Attendance is not required, but we strongly encourage prospective applicants to attend to learn about the program and the application process.

Local Government Capacity Grant Program
NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY TOGETHER NORTH JERSEY LOCAL GOVERNMENT CAPACITY GRANT PROGRAM.
The TOGETHER NORTH JERSEY Local Government Capacity Grant Program (LGCGP) will provide financial and/or technical assistance to county and municipal members of the TOGETHER NORTH JERSEY Steering Committee to conduct outreach, analysis, coordination and planning activities that help build the capacity of local governments to support and materially advance the development of a Regional Plan for Sustainable Development for the 13-county North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) region.The Local Government Capacity Grant Program Notice of Funding Availabilityprovides key information on the purpose of the program, eligible applicants, available funding, types of assistance and eligible program activities, submission deadlines, and the process and timeline for making funding decisions.
Key Deadlines – Key deadlines for submission described in the package:
- Letters of Intent / Thumbnail Work Program Due: October 12, 2012 – Eligible counties and cities submit letters of intent and thumbnail work programs, along with initial budgets. These are reviewed by the LGCGP Subcommittee who will work with applicants to guide full proposals.
- Final Full Proposals Due: December 31, 2012 – The deadline for full proposals with detailed budgets has been extended until December 31, 2012.
