Hon. Kim Guadagno, Lt. Governor of New Jersey on state planning and economic growth

PlanSmart NJ, New Jersey’s oldest and most respected land use planning organization, and the New Jersey Regional Coalition, New Jersey’s most effective regional equity advocates, have joined to provide a dynamic interchange on the fiscal, economic and social crises facing the State today and to hear a new, powerful agenda of reform to address them.

At the head of this agenda is an overhaul of the State Planning and the Fair Housing Acts. These reforms will:

  • link jobs, housing, transportation and natural resource protection through reform of the State Planning Act
  • connect State agency regulations and investments to a shared vision of the future of New Jersey
  • provide a regional framework for municipal planning and zoning
  • promote efficiency, predictability and accountability in government at all levels

This conference will make the case of the compelling need and a growing appetite for reform at all levels of government for more integrated communities, more housing and transportation choices, a stronger economy and a better quality of life for all. Be there to add your voice!
